Production process of copper rod

 

1. Infiltration forming: It can produce long bright oxygen free copper rod( or seed rod) with electric conductivity of 101-102%IACS, oxygen content is below 20ppm, copper rod ring weight of 3.5-10 tons.Infiltration forming: use a cold copper rod heat absorption capacity to pass vertically through a copper basin that can only maintain a certain level of height, making copper water fused to the surface copper of the moving seed rod, gradually combined into a roughcast copper rod, and then wound in a circle through cooling, hot rolling, cooling. The whole process is closed and protected by inert gas.

2.Up-cast method: It can produce long bright oxygen free copper rod with conductivity of 101-101.6% IACS, the oxygen content of below 10ppm, the copper rod ring weight is 2 tons.

3. Sequential cast-rolling method: it can produce long bright oxygen free copper rod with conductivity of 101-102% IACS, oxygen content is 200-300ppm, and the copper rod weighs 5 tons.

4. Loop rolling method: It can produce short copper rod with a blackened surface, an oxide coating, conductivity of 99.5 ~ 100.5%IACS, oxygen content of 200 ~ 500ppm and the copper rod weighs only 86~136 kg. (due to the limitation of copper ingot and boat form)
