How to Distinguish Magnet Wire between Litz Wire?

Magnet wire is copper wire with a coating of insulation, and is used in electromagnets, transformers, Tesla coils, speakers, inductors, guitar pickups, and motors. It is available in many sizes, temperature ratings, and colors. Magnet wire allows multiple layer of wire to be wound together without short circuiting.

Litz wire (from the German term for braided wire, Litzendraht) is a special type of multi-strand wire. Thin, individual strands of enameled magnet wire are twisted together in a specific pattern to form the complete litz wire. This unique construction helps to reduce the skin and proximity effects that cause losses at higher frequencies in other wire types.
